The Amocams 700 EIE supports the Hex Repeater protocol, an ASCII-like protocol. It does not use the special communications lockout mode of the "binary" Amocams 300 EIE. This EIE supports several custom data groups related to electronic gas measurement and supports RTU "chaining" via the repeater protocol for up to five RTUs.
Because of the large variety of Amocam configurations, this EIE requires communications data analysis at your site prior to implementation.
